MTLEY CRE Bassist Interviewed At SUNSET STRIP MUSIC FESTIVAL (Video)
August 21, 201198-7 FM, the commercial modern rock radio station in Los Angeles, California, conducted an interview with MTLEY CRE bassist Nikki Sixx on Saturday, August 20 when the band returned to its roots and closed the fourth annual Sunset Strip Music Festival (SSMF) in Hollywood. MTLEY CRE launched the festival at an August 18 tribute event celebrating their 30-year career. The band accepted the Elmer Valentine Award at a VIP event at the House Of Blues which was described as "part back-patting and part roast." Guests and friends such as Dane Cook, THE DOORS keyboardist Ray Manzarek, NEW YORK DOLLS frontman David Johansen and author Neil Strauss (who co-wrote a book with the band, "The Dirt") paid homage to MTLEY CRE during the ceremony.
Each year, West Hollywood's world-famous Sunset Strip celebrates its rich musical history and influence with the Sunset Strip Music Festival, a three-day event that features a variety of artists throughout its venues culminating with an open air street festival on its last day.
